Friends of Scouting Corporate Referral
Does your company provide support to charitable organizations?
We need your help identifying potential corporate sponsors to support our Scouts. Does your place of employment provide support to charitable organizations either financial or otherwise? If they do, we would greatly appreciate your help in filling out this FOS corporate referral form (available by clicking the title of this article), and sending it to our council office. We will gladly follow up with the point of contact provided and let them know opportunities to support our Scouts.
We can always use financial support through corporate donations, but we also have opportunities to sponsor merit badges or work on projects at Camp Birch either on an ongoing basis or a day of teambuilding projects like clearing brush or building picnic tables.
Questions and completed forms can be sent to Scout Executive, Rob Lavoie at Rob.Lavoie@Scouting.org.
NESA Silver Wreath
Dan Kirkpatrick was named the first recipient of the Silver Wreath award since the award was brought back by NESA. The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) committee established the NESA Silver Wreath Award for service to NESA. Local councils may recognize active NESA members for their individual leadership.
James E. West Fellowship
Mike Taylor became the latest member of the Tecumseh Council James E. West Society. To become a member, an individual invests $1,000 or more into the endowment of Tecumseh Council. You can become a member by writing a check to Tecumseh Council, you can pay for it over a period of time, or it can be a group of people honoring someone else. Congratulations Mike!

National Day of Prayer
At 5:30 local time, on May 2nd, Scouts all around the world will read the entire sacred texts of these world religions – Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and Muslim faiths. In addition, Scouts in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Christian, Eastern Orthodox, Hindu, Sikh, and other Faiths will be also reading their Sacred Texts.
