―New and improved‖ are the three most famous and perhaps overused words in the whole advertising world but in the case of the 2010 Popcorn sale they are in fact, very appropriate. Trail‘s End popcorn has completely revamped their program of support for the Scout Councils they support around the country.
Why ―new and improved‖? New, resealable packaging with a larger volume of those great tasting products that all of us enjoy. Kettle corn has returned for those of you who have missed it. Increased unit profit can be earned by meeting all of the following four requirements: 1) attend one of the two council Popcorn kickoffs, 2) hold a unit kickoff, 3) sell at least $1000 in online sales on the Trail’s End website and 4) increase your sales over 2009 excluding online sales. New units to the sale will need to meet the same requirements to earn the extra incentive. Did I mention that Trail‘s End and Tecumseh Council have improved their individual incentive offerings? Special events and special gifts are available for top sellers across the council.
Trail‘s End is also pleased to announce the development of the popcorn sale in a box. Each unit that attends the council popcorn sale kickoff meeting will receive a sales kit which will contain sales materials, banners, posters and other fun stuff to make your unit Popcorn kickoff an event to remember. So plan to attend the kickoff meeting at Camp Birch for dinner or at Verde Restaurant for breakfast, learn more about the popcorn incentives and receive your popcorn sale in a box.
2010 Popcorn Sales Calendar
• August 6 - Popcorn Kickoff at 6:30 p.m. in the Turner Building at Camp Birch
• August 7 - Popcorn Kickoff at 9 a.m. at the Verde Restaurant in Urbana
• August 17 - Show & Sell orders due to the council office
• August 28 - Show & Sell distribution day - Take Order, Show & Deliver and Show & Sell begin
• August/September - conduct unit popcorn kickoff
• October 30 - Popcorn Super Saturday - all popcorn returns are due to the office on this day
• November 13 - Popcorn Distribution Day
