Adventure Camp
Imagine your son or daughter spending a week in the great outdoors swimming, boating, archery, learning about nature, team building, doing crafts, and growing as a caring human being. All this and more will be featured at our Adventure Camp.
Our summer day camp program is designed with two purposes in mind: providing boys and girls with learning and developmental challenges with access to quality summer camp experiences and to begin the process of instilling campers with a sense of independence. Summer day camp programs allow developmentally challenged children who are often more dependent than non-challenged children the freedom to participate on their own in a supervised, caring setting. Camping helps children to develop a sense of themselves as capable individuals.
August 6-10, 2012 Aquatics and Nature Week-There will be a emphasis on developing swimming skills along with plenty of time canoeing and fishing at the lakefront. Also, campers will learn about the natural world around them and have plenty of opportunity for hands on nature study.
August 13-17, 2012 Wild West Week-Mosey on down to camp and learn western skills like lassoing our “horses”, cowboy songs, and other outdoor skills.
