Scout Service and a Holiday Thank You

As we rapidly approach the holiday season, we want to thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for the young people of Tecumseh Council.

In Scouting, we provide a framework- the Scout Oath and Law, program outlines, and concepts- but it takes people like you to make it come alive and have meaning.  Our volunteers are among the best anywhere in the country, and thanks to you and hundreds others, we are shaping the futures of thousands of young people.

Please enjoy the holidays, and again, thank you!

One of the things that I love best about Scouting is the service that is done by Scouts and leaders for the benefit of others.  We help those who are less fortunate than ourselves, regardless of age. Projects have been done for young people, the elderly, for churches or for other non-profit organizations in town and around the world.

Our collective efforts make Logan, Champaign, Clark, Greene and Clinton counties a better place to live. This time of year lends itself to any number of service projects on a den, pack, patrol, troop, crew or even ship basis.

The Messengers of Peace program was created to link Scouts all over the world through their service to others.  All projects, big or small, make the world a better place.

If you, your family, your den or patrol, or your unit have done a project this fall, or even this year, please take a few moments to record it in the national reporting website.  Share what your scouts have done with the rest of the world!

As an added bonus, leaders and youth members can earn and wear the Messenger of Peace emblem on their Scout uniform.  They are available to purchase in the Scout Store.
