How You Can Help Tecumseh Council "Fund the Mission"

Tecumseh Council provides our Scouts and leaders with the support and resources to run a quality program. Resources included Camp Birch, Scout Store, new Scout recruitment materials, insurance, camperships, training, popcorn sale, website and email blasts. Tecumseh Council delivers excellent service with nine staff members who support Camp Birch, the store, units in all five counties along with operating summer camps. To continue offering these services, we request your help.

We ask all of our outstanding volunteers to contact their friends and colleagues requesting a donation for the Friends of Scouting campaign. A simple email to your contacts with the link to our online giving site where a donation or pledge can be made would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link - Attached is our Friends of Scouting brochure with detailed information on Tecumseh Council operations that you can also send with an email to your contacts.

In addition, attached is the “Who Do You Know” prospect sheet with those individuals you may want to consider calling on for a gift. People give to organizations when someone they know asks for a gift. Projects to strengthen our local Scouting program for 2014 include new roofs on buildings at camp, renovating latrines, providing more camperships to families in need, upgrading our website and adding a second District Executive to serve Greene and Clinton counties. Achieving our goal will help make these projects possible.

A new recognition item this year is having a brick in your name or a loved one’s name placed in a new Scouter Legacy area by the Turner Conference Center at Camp Birch. Thank you for your help with Friends of Scouting.
