Aquatics Director

Requirements:

Aquatics Director, Description of Duties:

As the Aquatics Director it will be your job to manage an in ground swimming pool, and over see the waterfront program. For Scout related camps Merit Badges taught in these areas are Swimming, Life Saving, Rowing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Small Boat Sailing. This position has a specific Camping School Training that will require a week to take in Spring. Other duties as assigned will primarily be aquatic related. This position also includes pool maintenance, chemical management, general upkeep, and coordinating with the administration to provide a fun, skill based set of activities.

Cope and Climbing Director

Requirements:

C.O.P.E & Climbing Director, Description of Duties:

For the Cope and Climbing Director, it is essential that you are able to communicate with youth. This is a primarily encouragement and educational role in the participants lives. This position also has a National Camping School Training that is required. The applicant will need a week before the camp season to finish this training, most likely in the Spring. Managing a climbing tower, a high ropes course, leadership based initiative games, leading young adults, and working with the administration to provide a fun and skill based experience for the participants.

Outdoor Skills Director

Requirements:

  • Available to work from May 20 to August 20
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have NCS Outdoor Skills Card (will pay for training if accepted)
  • Has experience with knot tying, pioneering, primitive camping, and basic first aid.
  • Have previous experience as a leader, or manager.
  • Can help teach youth, and lead young adult staff.

Outdoor Skills Director, Description of Duties:

As the Outdoor Skills Director it is important to; lead a group of young adult staff, encourage the technical aspects of the skills taught, and to participate actively with the administration. This position also requires a week long training course at an approved NCS Camp.

Head Cook

Requirements:

  • Available to work from May 20 to August 20 (Usual Daily Hours 6am-3pm)
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Must have servsafe training/experience in catering
  • Have previous experience as a leader, or manager.
  • Can lead a young adult staff
  • Accustomed to serving, preparing, 300 meals at a time.

Head Cook, Description of Duties:

The Head Cook is required to oversee kitchen, but is not solely meant to cook alone. A Staff, including a few Assistant Cooks, will be aided in each meal by helping the Head Cook plan accordingly. It is the responsibility of the Head Cook to work with the Camp Director to provide good quality meals and maintain a budget. This includes Staff Weekends, Summer Camps and Activities, and also needs to earn the proper Servsafe accreditations.
