United Way Donor Designation and CFC Campaign

On June 6, 2017 the United Way of Greene County announced that they will not be funding the Boy Scouts of America programs for the 2017-18 fiscal year. We had been partners for many years dating back to the founding of the United Way. For the last several years they had been contributing $9,000 to the Boy Scout programs in Greene County and Camp Birch. This unanticipated loss of support has severely hampered the services we provide to the youth of Greene County.

On July 1, 2017 the United Way of Clark County decided that they will also not be funding the traditional program support of the Tecumseh Council. They continue to support two of our programs however this was a $12,000 cut to an already stressed budget.

We strongly encourage you to support the United Way in your community. If you contribute in the Greene County United Way or the Clark County United Way, the only way to ensure that the Boy Scout programs of the Tecumseh Council are funded is to designate your gift directly to us.

For many years now the CFC campaign has been utilizing designated gifts only. We strongly encourage everyone that is a federal employee to make a contribution to the CFC campaign. There are many worthy organizations associated with the CFC campaign and we hope that you choose the Tecumseh Council as one of your worthy causes that you support.

Thank you for your support through the United Way in your community!
