Super Troop Program

Are you a Super Troop?  Is your unit active in the community?  Do you want to be rewarded for your dedication to Scouting in Tecumseh Council?  If so, read on……

The purpose of the Super Troop program is to encourage and reward Tecumseh Council Troops who participate in the Popcorn Sale, Scouting for Food, Family FOS, OA Unit Elections, and Summer Camp at Birch.  The program starts in August, 2011 to kick off our 2011-12 Scouting year.   Units are asked to  commit to being a 2012 Super Troop by September 20, 2011 and have all requirements completed by September 30, 2012. 

Requirements

1.  Unit will commit to a Family FOS presentation in 2011-12

2.  Unit will commit to participation in the popcorn sale in 2011-12

3.  Unit will commit to participation in Scouting for Food

4.  Unit will commit to scheduling and holding an OA Election in 2012 if applicable

5.  Unit will commit to Summer Camp at Camp Birch every other year starting in 2012

Recognition

1.  Unit will receive ten percent off weekend camping and rentals at Camp Birch

2.  Unit will receive free rank badges

3.  Unit will receive special recognition in the Totem

4.  Unit will receive priority reservations for weekend camping at Birch including the new tree forts in Lagonda Campsite.  

NOTE: In 2011, priority reservations will be for Lagonda tree forts only and Units will be able to make these priority reservations from August 15th-September 1st.  After  2011, Units will be able to make priority reservations for all facilities at Camp Birch from May 1st-July 15th. After July 15th reservations will be open to anyone.
