2021 National Jamboree

The 2021 National Jamboree will be July 21-30, 2021 at The Summit Bechtel Reserve, Glen Jean West Virginia. Tecumseh Council is forming a Male Troop of 36 Scouts and 4 Adults and Female Troop of 18 Scouts and 2 Adults with Leaders Kevin Knepp, Richard Drye, Shawn Nixon and Sara Repasy.

The National Scout Jamboree is Scouting’s flagship event which is a one-of-a-kind gathering of approximately 45,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff.  Over the course of 10 summer days, participants will experience a showcase event of everything which is great about the Boy Scouts of America.

Where:  The Summit Bechtel Reserve, Glen Jean West Virginia

When: July 21-30, 2021

Who: Scouts - Requirements include:

  • Current BSA Membership with Scouts BSA Troop
  • At least First Class rank
  • At least 12 on the first day but not 18 by the last day of Jamboree
  • Participate in pre-jamboree training experience
  • Be approved by the unit leader and local council

Registration:

  1. Register with National BSA:

    2. Will prompt youth to create my.scouting.org account
    3. Use an emailed link to complete registration.
  2. Register with Tecumseh Council
    1. Complete the first payment slip and return it with a $200 non-refundable deposit to Tecumseh Council
    2. Register by phone, in person, or by mail at the Tecumseh Council office

Payment Schedule

By registering for the 2021 Tecumseh Council National Scout Jamboree Contingent, you agree to meet the payment schedule outlined below.

Tecumseh Council is required by national B.S.A. to meet certain financial criteria to send scouts to the National Jamboree and the local payment schedule is reflected to meet those requirements.

The estimated cost is $1900 for each Tecumseh Council contingent member.  This fee may be less depending on what the local contingent scouts determine to have as their tour plan. 

Payment Schedule for the 2021 Tecumseh Council Jamboree Troop:

  • A non-refundable deposit of $200 per scout is due at the time of application submission
  • By Mar 31, 2020:a payment of $250 per scout is due (total paid $450)
  • By Jun 30, 2020:a payment of $300 per scout is due (total paid $750)
  • By Sep 30, 2020:a payment of $300 per scout is due (total paid $1050)
  • By Dec 30, 2020:a payment of $250 per scout is due (total paid $1300)
  • By Mar 31, 2021:a payment of $250 per scout is due (total paid $1550)
  • By June 1, 2021:final payment due $350 (total paid $1900)

All fees are payable to Tecumseh Council, 326 S. Thompson Ave., Springfield OH 45506.

Please return a payment slip with ALL checks sent to the council office.

Refund Policy: If you signed up to attend the Jamboree and then find you cannot attend, a refund will be processed only if Tecumseh Council has a replacement contingent member.  The $200 deposit is non-refundable for all.
