2020 Cub Scout Summer Camp Programs

Cub Scout Day Camp - June 15-19, 2020

Here is a sample of what to expect while attending Cub Scout Day Camp - your Scouts will be able to swim in our pool, boating takes place in our 6 acre lake, or climb our 40 foot climbing tower. They will enjoy learning about and testing their skills with Archery and BB guns, and learn about nature at our Nature Center. New this year is our STEM program for all ages. Last but not least, stop by our Trading Post to pick up any Scout gear, Camp Birch gear, or snacks and drinks.

Adult Leadership

Leadership will be provided by Camp Staff members. Adult volunteers (that are registered members of the BSA) are still welcome and encouraged to attend. We will offer a $25 discount to each Cub Scout who brings an adult volunteer to camp with them for at least 3 days (one discount per adult per Scout). 

Have a Scout that is unable to attend with a volunteer? No worries...our incredible Camp Staff members will accompany them every step of the way. Providing leadership, guidance and FUN!

Times

Cub Scout Day Camp runs daily with opening flag at 8 am and closing at 3:30 pm. On the first day, we will start checking in at 7:20 am to make sure everyone get what they need for the week.

Medical Forms

Cub Scout Day Camp participants and adult volunteers must complete Parts A & B of the Medical Form. Medical forms are due upon check in at camp.

Wolf Bear Camp Session 1 - June 12-14, 2020 or Session 2 - June 19-21, 2020

Welcome to our Cub Scout and parent overnight program just for Wolves and Bears. The weekend includes programs and activities tailored specifically for both age groups, as well as other camp fun including: BB guns, archery, swimming, handicrafts, and boating!  Wolf Bear Camp is an opportunity for Cub Scouts entering 2nd and 3rd grades in the fall of 2020 to complete requirements for upcoming Wolf and Bear rank advancement. Programs tailored specifically for the targeted age groups will be offered. Tents are not provided.

Registration Note

During registration we would like each Scout to select either ONE or BOTH of the available Adventure Loops to add to their schedule at camp. The rest of the time on their schedule will be rotating through the different activities at camp.

Adult Leadership 

1-10 youth = 2 free adults      11-20 youth = 3 free adults      21-30 youth = 4 free adults      and so on

Additional adult price is $45.

All Scouts attending Webelos Resident Camp must be under the supervision of an adult who has agreed to be responsible for that Webelos Scout.                                                            

Just for Leaders - Scoutmaster Merit Badge Program - Adult Leaders are now on their way to being Scoutmasters, so now they can enjoy the Scoutmaster life in our Scoutmaster Lounge. Get free unending coffee, WiFi, air conditioning and computer lab, as well as flush toilets and hot showers!

Webelos Resident Camp check in starts at TBA pm on Sunday, June 30. Check out is at TBA pm on Wednesday, July 3.

All campers (Scouts and Parents/Leaders) must have parts A, B & C of the Medical Form. Part C requires a Doctor’s signature so please plan accordingly. Medical Forms will be due at the 10 Day Out Meeting.

Campership Application

To ensure that every boy can attend Camp Birch regardless of financial resources, camperships are available to any Scout registered in Tecumseh Council for a percentage of the cost of camp. The Scout’s family and Unit Leader must complete this application and return it to the Camp Director DL Kaufman at Damon.Kaufman@scouting.org or Council Service Center by TBA. Unit leaders will be notified of approved camperships by TBA. Camperships are awarded on a basis of family need. 

Camperships must be redeemed by the Early Bird deadline or they will be forfeited and VOID. Application does not guarantee approval.

Payments for all activities, summer camps and camping events are non-refundable.
