NRA Range Safety Officer Training Course

NRA Range Safety Officer Course

A NRA Range Safety Officer Course will take place Saturday, November 11, 2017. The RSO course is nine hours long. Candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.

Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.

Cost: $50, and an additional fee required after the course, payable online for NRA certification to register your credentials.

  • Certification is cheaper if you are a NRA member, but membership is not required to be a NRA RSO.

Space: 8 open spaces, payment is required to reserve your packet.

Location: Camp Birch Training Lodge, Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Start/End time: 8 am - 5pm. bring a lunch, water provided.

Dress for the weather as we will go to the range to cover malfunctions, stoppages, and Range familiarization.

NRA RSO minimum age 21

Proceeds of the course are to be used toward the purchase of firearms for the Camp Birch Shooting Sports.
