Wilderness Engineers are a select group of Scouters who donate their time and
talents to maintain Camp Hugh Taylor Birch as a priceless outdoor
resource. Our Wilderness Engineers come from many backgrounds and careers. Some are former unit leaders. Others are council or district level Scouters. Some are electricians and carpenters. Others are engineers and computer database administrators. Whatever their skills sets, all have something to contribute to maintaining Camp Birch. Besides performing maintenance services, the Wilderness Engineers often help out on other projects, including: |
||
| They work in the dinning hall kitchen and prepare meals for a variety of special events at Camp Birch. | ||
| They assist at Order of the Arrow events at camp. | ||
| They help staff council and district events at camp. | ||
| They often coordinate special council-wide fund-raising events at camp. | ||
